If you have a larger than average bathroom – one that has a changing area, or perhaps his-and-hers sinks then you might want to consider installing track lighting.

While out of place and supersized for small powder rooms – a well-placed track lighting system would be ideal for longer areas. I’ve seen many bathrooms which are elongated and have a tub, then a shower and two sinks on the side along with the toilet.

You can position it towards the mirrors, making the glow deflect off a soft color right so that the glare doesn’t get you. Silver and White would be two of the most popular colors for the system – but you can see which adds a better effect according to the paint color.

I also recommend getting smaller bulbs – as even larger bathrooms might end up looking strange with the normal sized tracks. Also you will have to do something about the wire that hangs down – always go with a certified electrician who can properly advise and do the procedure for you.

Stay tuned for more tips and ideas and I’ll also be uploading some nice pics of what looks good to give you more choices to work with.

For most of us – a typical morning routine involves waking sheepishly in the morning and stepping into the shower half-awake and half-asleep. Then itsĀ  a quick dash to realize you’re late for work, and you quickly get dresses as fast as possible.

To make sure you have your clothes on right, and you look great – you need proper lighting in your bathroom.

The type and number of bathroom lighting fixtures you need is variable to the size and shape of your bathroom and how much natural light it receives.

Some bathroom ceiling lights are now available with a fan and a heater. Imagine the comfortable warmth and coziness of warm air greeting you as a get dressed on a cold, wintry day.

If you decide to go this route – make sure you get one that has different switches. That will help you save on electricity – but check with a certified electrician first about your options and the best way to move forward.
